Fillet Steak

If you are looking a delicious, satisfying special meal. This is it! Fillet steak is a great choice as it is one of the leanest cuts of beef, but still high in rich quality protein. Pair it with our luscious creamy pepper sauce, Unislim Skinny fries, and a big green salad for the most mouth watering combo.

Ingredients

2 Fillet steaks (200g)

Spray Oil (preferably Olive oil)

Freshly milled pepper

Sea Salt

Method

Allow the steak to come to room temperature for an hour. Pat dry with kitchen paper. Season the steak generously.

Heat a heavy based frying pan under your highest heat until its VERY hot.

Spray with a few spritzes of olive oil.

Place the steaks on the pan, and sear for

  • 2 minutes either side for rare
  • 3 minutes either side for medium rare (recommended)
  • 4 minutes either side for medium
  • 5 minutes either side for medium well
  • 6 minutes either side for well done

It is very important to NOT move the steaks whilst cooking. That way you’ll get a lovely crust which will give you the best flavour.

Once cooked, wrap in tinfoil and leave to rest for 5-10 minutes. drizzle the resting juices over the steak, or add them juices to a pepper sauce

Serve with a big green salad tossed with this balsamic dressing and Unislim skinny fries.
