My name is Samantha Kelly and I am the new Brand Ambassador for Unislim. I want to give you some tips on my Unislim journey so far. As a busy Mum and business woman I spend so much of my time on the road from Dublin to Wexford and even flying to London for speaking engagements. And eating on the go can be tricky when it comes to staying on track.
Here are some of the new tips I’ve learned that have helped me put new healthy habits in place and lose 6lbs whilst on the go in less than a month with Unislim. #TogetherWeRule
I find what’s really helped me on my journey is packing snacks to keep me going when time isn’t on my side. This means when I pop into a petrol station, I’m not tempted by quick treats to get me from A to B. Picking up a piece of fruit like a banana means I get an energy hit and am ready to go again, keeping my Bites in tact. I love knowing that I can have a banana a day totally free!
When I have a great day in work, I automatically feel the need to reward myself. My go-to reward would always be fizzy drinks. Since joining Unislim, I’ve made a switch and started rewarding myself in other ways, like treating myself to a beauty product, or going to get my hair done. It’s great to be able to reward ourselves but it’s also important not to undo all of our hard work. The next time you have a little victory on or of the scales why not treat yourself to a new pair of gym leggings or a manicure. You will feel great!
Starting the day right is key, so now I always aim to have a healthy, filling breakfast before I leave the house. If I am really in a rush, I’ll whip up some overnight oats in a jar the night before and take them in my handbag. So if I am on the train or bus, I can still have a great breakfast. I love experimenting with flavours, using different berries, apple or pear. Yum!
Getting in the door after a busy day can be a weak spot for me. In the past, I would have naturally reached for the phone to call for takeout. But now, I find that if I simply plan ahead, I am so much more in control. Now, when I go food shopping, I map out my week and shop with the aim of batch cooking. Now, I can freeze meals and know that I always have something there to rescue me if my day gets away with me. .My favourite dinner right now is Unislim’s Chicken Curry in a Hurry. Delish!
