A new take on an old family favourite with Meatballs! Enjoy these sweet and sour meatballs over a salad, some rice or maybe both!

Ingredients:

  • For The Meatballs
  • 500g extra lean mince
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • For The Sauce
  • 100ml white wine vinegar
  • 150ml water
  • 30g cornflour
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 4 tbsp reduced sugar ketchup
  • 4 tbsp sweetener
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Method:

In a large bowl, add the extra lean mince, egg, onion and mix to combine. Roll into small meatballs 1 inch in size.

Spray a large frying pan with Suseed and over medium heat fry the meatballs until browned on all sides.

In a separate medium bowl, mix together all of the ingredients for the sauce. Pour the sauce mix over the meatballs and simmer on a medium heat. Once the sauce starts to thicken reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
