Breakfast Berry Parfait
Did you know that there are two types of parfaits in life? There is a sweet and creamy french kind and the American, much lighter and easier to make kind. Guess which one we're going for? Naturally enough for us at Unislim, we're all about the lightness, the healthy goodness and the long term effect of every food choice we make. So true to form, we're going for the American style of parfait and there ain't no parfait like a breakfast berry parfait. Wasn't there a Prince song about that?
Use any kind of berries you want but if you are using frozen berries and they are not from Ireland, please note that there is a long term boil notice on these. If you can at all, fresh berries are much better for this dish but do make sure to give them a good rinse too.
The very joy of this breakfast berry parfait is in its simplicity. You can however get some serious fun out of it by alternating berries and different types of mint. Spearmint and raspberries with just a touch of black pepper is an absolute favourite at ours. We'd love to hear your favourite combinations!
