1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 wholemeal burger buns
Tomatoes, sliced

40g NAS ketchup
2 tbsp pickled gherkins, finely sliced,
1 tbsp pickling juice
You can watch the video here!
Preheat your air-frier or oven to 200 degrees. Prepare all your ingredients and make your burger sauce. Pop your chips in at this point if you’re having them
Firstly, cook your onions with a little olive oil under a very low heat for 20 minutes until nicely softened and caramelised. Add splashes of water as required during the cooking process. Stir regularly. You can of course decide to have raw onions, but we think these sweet gooey onions are the bomb!
Add some salt, pepper and the baking soda to the mince and mix it well with your hands. Shape into patties. Heat a pan, add some spray oil and cook for 4 minutes each side on a medium to low heat. Wrap in tinfoil and set aside. Toast your buns lightly on each side by placing on the pan for 30 seconds each side.
Then assemble your burgers with the burger sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, cooked onions and cheese. Wrap in tinfoil and pop into the air-frier or oven for 2 minutes.
This helps all the burger ingredients to get acquainted to get ready for the party (in your mouth!) And plus you can serve all the burgers at the same time which is great if you are making multiple burgers. Let us know if you make this!
