Spaghetti and Meatballs

Method

Ingredients:

  • 500g extra lean mince
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 oxo cube, crumbled
  • 240g wholemeal pasta
  • 1 tinned tomatoes

Method:

Mix the mince with eggs and crumbled oxo cube then form into balls, just don’t make them too big to ensure they cook through quickly and evenly.

Place in a pan on a medium heat and gently turn to ensure they are browned.

In a saucepan cook off the onions and garlic then add the tinned tomatoes, tomato puree and mixed herbs.

Using a slotted spoon add the meatballs to the saucepan and let it all simmer gently together.

Serve with cooked wholemeal pasta.
