500g lean minced beef
1 tsp salt
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp plain flour
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Italian herbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
4 wholemeal pitta
100g Gorge Us chips
~ Garlic Dip ~
1 tbsp lighter than light mayo
1/4 tsp garlic powder (to taste)
Preheat the oven at 180°C/Gas mark 4.
Using your hands, combine all of the ingredients into a bowl, and knead the mince mixture until it is smooth with no air pockets.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and put it on a baking tray and cook for 1 hour, turning over halfway through.
Remove from the oven and wrap it in tinfoil. Allow to rest for 10 minutes as you prepare the salad and sauces.
To make garlic mayo, simply mix the lighter than light mayo, garlic powder, and 2 tsp of water.
Slice the meat as thinly as you can and serve in a small whole meal pitta with crunchy salad, garlic mayo and 100g of Gorge Us Unislim chips.
