My Journey So Far

It’s now 8 weeks into my journey with Unislim and I must say I’ve never felt better.

As women, we tend to leave ourselves to last when it comes to looking after health and wellness. I did anyway. I’m a busy businesswoman with two children, I’m always on the go and naturally gravitate towards putting everyone else first.

Since joining Unislim I have learned that to take care of my family and my health, I have to put myself first. This means planning my meals, factoring in exercise and being prepared for busy days where I don’t have much time.  Surprisingly, by doing this it’s helped my entire family. Everyone is eating healthy, delicious food and we’re all a lot more active – and you know what they say – a happy mammy means a happy family. Joining Unislim has been the best decision I’ve ever made.

Just last week I received my 7 pound cert!

I couldn’t believe it, half a stone gone forever! With the help of my amazing Leader Geraldine O’Brien, who has gone above and beyond to help me on my way and the support of the Unislim Community and the super easy Feed Yourself Fit plan, I made it happen!

My biggest challenge was changing my thinking about food. Instead of looking at healthy options as boring I found with Unislim that there were all kinds of tasty recipes that even I could manage! I’m not the best cook in the world but now my cottage pie is one of my family favourites. There’s so many recipes on the website that are super easy to make, check them out here. I used to shy away from the kitchen and rely on food on the go – but now I am enjoying getting into the kitchen and experimenting with new foods that I never would have bought before.

Believe me, even if you are no Nigella in the kitchen, you will be able to create delicious Unislim recipes.

My top lessons learned so far are:

  • Take time for you – no matter how hectic life may be, you can still steal back a little time to prepare for a great week.
  • Track your food. I actually now do it in advance when I make my weekly work schedule. If I know I have a busy day coming up, I plan the food that I will take with me, this way, I am not caught on the hop.
  • Like booking in a meeting, book in time to exercise. Exercising will give you more energy, so no matter what the week throws at you, you are on the ball.

Here’s to a great week!

Sam x
