I was overweight, from as far back as I can remember. It has taken over my childhood memories and all of my teenage years. After I had my first child, I decided I need to do something for me. I came across Unislim on social media and the amount of free foods being mentioned grabbed my attention. I joined in October 2018. I lost 4 stone and I felt so amazing that I decided I wanted to support others and became a Unislim leader the following year. The important thing for me was to let people to know about our amazing plan, how easy it is to lose weight. I wanted to help others who maybe struggled like I did when I was younger and let them know there is an easy way to lose the weight without restricting yourself and cutting out foods that you love. I loved the support and guidance you get as a member and I know when someone’s having a rough day it’s truly amazing how one text from me can change their whole day. I’ve had my second baby and with the help of the Unislim plan I’m almost back at my target.
I’ve tried to lose weight on my own, and it has never worked for me. I need to have the information laid out in front of me and the accountability of stepping up on the scales. Otherwise, I over eat, serve myself huge portions and then feel guilty. Following the Unislim plan gives me the confidence to put a meal together, it’s so flexible and realistic. It’s for the busy parent, the on the go teenager, anyone working shifts – it suits everyone. For me, Unislim’s plan took the guilt and shame away I used to feel after eating and replaced it with knowledge, information and confidence in what I’m putting on my plate. There is literally nothing you can’t have on this plan, from pancakes to pizzas and gorgeous snacks in between. One of my favourite dishes to cook is homemade goujons with bite free garlic mayo, salad and homemade chips… DELICIOUS. I always make an extra portion of goujons and have them in a wrap for lunch the next day, so easy and that’s another meal taken care of.
I love being part of the Unislim community, you get great support & encouragement, we’re all on the same journey. Someone asked how I feel since losing my weight and honestly if I could bottle this feeling and sell it, I would! I want everyone to know that if I can do it, anyone can. If you’re unhappy with where you are, don’t sit around and complain, DO SOMETHING! You have the power to change your life, fit into the clothes you love and get that energy back. Has it been easy? Not all the time but I never gave up. It is 100% worth it when you get there, that feeling of trying on clothes that fit, when you can run around with your kids, it’s priceless. Not only does it change your weight on the scales, but it changes your mindset and your attitude, all for the better.
My advice is do something for yourself today and join. For once, put yourself first and make your health and well being a priority. The weekly talks aren’t based around food all of the time, it’s also based around mental health, mindset, exercise and wellbeing. Losing weigh isn’t just about what you eat, there’s so much more and Unislim will guide you every step of the way. I am happier in myself which everyone around me reaps the benefits of. I feel comfortable in my clothes, I have loads of energy and I am always learning with Unislim.
