100g Unsalted butter
100g Light brown sugar
50g Treacle
50g Golden syrup
225g Plain flour
0.5 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
0.5 tsp Ground mixed spice
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Ground ginger
Melt the butter with the sugar, treacle and golden syrup. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Mix the dry ingredients as listed and add in the cooled butter/sugar mixture. Add a splash of water to bring the mixture together if needed. Wrap in clingfilm and chill for 30 minutes. Roll out and cut out with your favourite Halloween themed cookie cutter. Bake in a preheated oven (170 degrees Celsius) for 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool on the tray for 5 mins and then transfer to a wire rack.
Bites will depend on the size of your cutter – 1 bite for small biscuits and 2 bites for larger ones
Unislim tip 💡
Divide the mixture into 4 and use as you need! Wrap the dough balls in clingfilm and store in the fridge. This way there’s less temptation to over indulge 🍪
